Getting green with Sweetgreen at their Summer Barbecue

I was always curious of the cultish following that SweetGreen garners during lunchtime. The lines are always out door and wrapping around the block. I thought to myself, it's just salads! come on! So when I scored an invite to Sweetgreen's secret summer barbecue, I was finally able to indulge on that curiousity.
The barbecue took place on a very humid summer evening at a private residential roofdeck in Williamsburg (I crossed a river for this!). They were serving up dishes from their summer menu all night inspired by Sweetgreen's favorite summer produce, as well as drinks from
and
. As a special treat,
popped up to write custom haiku for all of the guests, all evening long.
My favorite was this peach burrata pizza.
this barbecue chicken was fire as well. Our "party favor" was a bottle of hot sauce
Here I am keeping it summer-inspired rocking a mara hoffman dress and Michael Kors sandals.
